The non-fiction book is an interesting read only if you are book lover and would standby to give time to this passerby celebrity homemaker turned author, interior designer, and a film producer.

Trust

Trust is an emotional value one person has on another. If I say, I have trust on you; I mean I can be sure that my demands would be met without cheating.

We interact with many community workers on a daily basis. The milk delivery person, the sweeper, the teachers, the bus conductors are all our community helpers.

A very good example would be that of a of a taxi driver. We use the services of the taxi driver almost on a daily basis. The only way that connects us with the taxi driver and the person traveling is the meter.

The government has set the meter and both the traveler and the driver follow the unknown path not knowing where the next path will lead.
If we try to be honest like the taxi drivers we can surely make the world a better place to live in.

Can Luck Change Destiny?

Looking out of my window I saw raindrops falling down from my rooftop. A small pool of water had been formed on the raw monsoon roads. Children wore a happy smile while traveling to school. Some were freely jumping on water and having fun.

I could stretch my view from beyond the road. This was under the bridge where these set of children also were jumping in the rain water pond. However, these children did not have uniforms on their body. Neither did they cry on being separated from their mother. These were what we called street children.

I was sitting in a relaxed manner on my chair having the morning cup of tea. A thought just passed by – What is the fault of such children who don’t have clothes, good upbringing, nor good education. Are their Karma predestined to lead a poor life, or can they be lucky to change their future.

Raazi: A true spine chilling patriotic movie

                                                            Directed by: Megna Gulzar
Primarily shouldered by: Actress Alia Bhatt
Rating: 3.5/5

Movie Review:

This is a total patriotic thriller about an Indian girl who chooses her destiny according to her fathers will. She willingly satisfies her role as a Indian spy.  It is based on the Indo-Pak war in !971
While the supporting cast and the crew have portrayed their role well, extra points should be given to actress Alia Bhatt. Through her flawless acting has proved that the student is surely maturing in the thick skinned movie industry.

The music is heart touching especially the song “Ae Watan” and “ Dilbaro” wiich wins the heart of youngsters and to be wed girls respectively.

There are some well crafted scenes which runs through your nerves. All in all a must watch movie for all those patriotic citizens and NRIs of India who still have their Indian nationality intact in their minds.

102 Not Out: An innings not to be missed

Cast: Amitabh Bachchan
          Rishi Kapoor
          Jimit Trivedi
Director: Umesh Shukla
Writer: Saumya Joshi

Rating: 4/5

Plot:  The movie revolves an energetic 102 year old father, Dattatraya Vakharia (Amitabh Bachchan) who wants to break the living record and his boring disciplined 75 years old son, Babulal and Jimit Trivedi more of a link which fills the gap between two characters. The father wants his son to change his boring lifestyle and be livelier like any other person of the age group.

Review:  The chemistry between the father son is excellently timed. Rishi Kapoor as the grumpy old man and Amitabh Bachhan who still lives in his bachpan have very good comic timing between them. The story which starts which a narration has miniature parts of flashback scenes as well.
A fathers worry about a son’s well-being and his emotions (on both the sides) have been depicted in a very effective manner.
Jimit Trivedi – as  a link between the duo also leaves a bit of his excellent acting impact on the audience’s mind.
Released during the period of Indian Premier League (IPL) with a perfect title and on mother’s day, the movie is a perfect gift for elders in the family.

Whose better - A tamed or an untamed girl?

I was wondering through the streets of my area where on the opposite sides I saw two cows one was tied and the other one was left lose.

It is our Indian ritual to pray to the Goddess cow whenever we pass by. This is done either by touching or by feeding the cow.
As I was passing by, two ladies on the either end were praying to the animal goddess. While the untied cow retaliated the tied one did not.

It was at this time that my inner voice told me – Whose better?

“A tamed and an Indian cultured girl; or an uncultured girl who is let loose”.
While this discussion is never ending and the world is becoming modern, our society still believes that a girl with strong family values would be more welcomed than the latter.
